In a large bowl mix together Mevalia bread mix, salt and yeast. Add 1 tbsp of oil and the water and whisk with an electric mixer with beaters for 2 minutes.
Grease 2–3 flat baking sheets with oil or spray release.
Place the batter into a large disposable piping bag, cut off the end to produce a 5mm gap. Pipe lengths of dough onto the greased baking sheets, cut the end with a small knife. Brush the dough sticks with the remaining olive oil and loosely cover with cling film and put in a warm place to prove for 20 minutes.
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C Fan/ Gas Mark 6. Re-brush the sticks with oil and bake for 10 minutes until crisp and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and place on a cooling rack to cool.
USEFUL TIPS You could make double the mixture and make a loaf of bread at the same time. It’s great to freeze. If you wish to vary the flavour add either some chopped sun dried tomatoes or chopped green or black olives to the bread mixture.
