Halwa Cake

Method
step 1
Preheat oven to 200°C/180°C fan/Gas mark 6.

Place the butter, sugar, cinnamon, mixed spice, nutmeg, ginger, cardamom and cloves in a bowl and cream together.

Add the baking powder, Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix, carrot, and raisins to the butter mixture and stir.

In a separate bowl, combine ProZero, egg replacer and golden syrup.

Combine both mixtures to form a batter then pour into a lined cake tin and bake for 30 minutes until golden.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool, then turn out of the tin.
Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix and ProZero are foods for special medical purposes and must be used under medical supervision.

- 100g Butter, soft
- 100g Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Cinnamon
- ½ tsp Mixed spice
- ½ tsp Nutmeg
- ½ tsp Ginger, ground
- 1 tsp Cardamom, ground
- 1 tsp Cloves, ground
- 2 tsp Baking powder
- 200g Fate Low Protein All-Purpose Mix
- 120g Carrot, grated
- 100g Raisins
- 100ml ProZero
- 10g Egg replacer
- 2 tbsp Golden syrup
- You will need an 8-inch cake tin.
